Benjamin Galin, PT, DPT, OCS (Florida License #21208)
Benjamin has been a PT for over 10 years with 7 of those years as a consultant for Medicare Home Health Agencies (HHA). He specializes in HHA compliance and documentation and has created countless clinical pathways. He is teaching one of the most comprehensive seminars in compliance and documentation; working on course development with universities; creates documentation templates (both paper and computer based) and is still in the trenches of the world of home health.

Benjamin is one of the few consultants who truly understands how OASIS data triggers billing error rates and focused reviews. He understands how to assess, diagnose, and repair broken therapy divisions in HHAs. Benjamin can retrain therapists, rehab directors, case managers, and nurses to understand how therapy is supposed to be delivered in the home through Medicare HHAs by understanding and utilizing the laws and rules that guide home health. Through education of the workforce, from marketers to clinicians, he creates a well-run machine that is safe from ZPIC and other government audits.

He understands that while therapy is an asset, it is simultaneously the biggest liability in home health and needs to be well understood to avoid the common pitfalls that bring agencies into the unpleasant world of focused medical reviews and payment suspensions. Benjamin firmly believes in prevention through compliance and does not see compliance as a naughty word. Instead he knows that the result of compliance will create protection of assets; reduction in liability; improvement in profit margins along with an increase in the agency’s time; energy; allocation of infrastructure, and resources for business growth and diversification.
